Gifts In Kind Opportunities
We use donated items from organisations and businesses as filler items and to replace items that may harm a child or damage the shoebox. Most in kind donations we receive are end of line or overrun items that companies cannot sell, but would make great gifts for children in need around the world.
It’s Easy to Give Back Through In-Kind Donations
You can donate gifts at any time during the year. You can also donate services such as transportation during the autumn months. 400,000+ shoeboxes are collected from nearly a thousand Drop-off Locations, and we have to move those shoeboxes to our processing centres to be sorted and shipped.

Toys
Examples include cuddly toys, dolls, toy cars, footballs and pumps, skipping ropes, small musical instruments, games, yo-yos, toys that light up or make noise, etc.
School Supplies
Examples include pens, pencils and sharpeners, erasers, crayons, markers, notebooks, pencil cases, solar calculators, geometry sets, colouring and picture books, etc.
Non-liquid Hygiene Items
Examples include toothbrushes, bar soap, combs, brushes, flannels, sponges, bath scrunchies etc.
Quality Crafts
Examples include metalworking, woodworking, knitting/sewing, beading, children’s craft projects, etc.
Clothing and Accessories
Examples Include woolly hats, gloves, baseball caps, t-shirts, socks, flip-flops, sunglasses, hairclips, jewellery, watches, torches, etc. Please note: at this time, we are not able to accept larger items of clothing like jackets, jumpers, trousers and trainers.
Transportation
In the UK alone, hundreds of thousands of shoebox gifts are collected from around a thousand of Drop-off Locations. We are looking for companies interested in donating or discounting transportation on local or national level.
Locations
Before being shipped overseas, each gift must be inspected and prepared. Thousands of shoeboxes and volunteers take up a lot of space. You can help us each fall by donating empty warehouse space to be used as a processing centre. Facilities from 5,000 to 40,000 square feet are needed feet depending on location.
Machinery
In our Processing Centres we use a variety of machinery including pallet trolleys, sack trolleys, forklifts, roller systems, pallets and racking. Equipment can be given outright, loaned to us for a short time, or donated as a rental.
