IN THE 1960s, when Kudjip Nazarene Hospital was started in Papua New Guinea, X-rays were done with film. As decades passed, film was hard to find. We provided the hospital with digital X-ray machines that have helped save many lives, including that of a young girl with pneumonia. “An X-ray showed that her lung had collapsed and allowed us to see that she needed a chest tube,” said Dr. Ben Radcliffe. We operate a medical warehouse and employ biomedical technicians who refurbish donated equipment and install it in remote mission hospitals.
