NICO WAS BORN WITH A HEART DEFECT that caused fatigue and shortness of breath. His family had little hope for improvement until they heard about our Children’s Heart Project. Paediatric cardiac procedures are not readily available in many countries, so we arrange for children to go to hospitals in North America and the Caribbean for surgery. A parent or guardian and an interpreter accompany the child, and we match them with host churches and families who open their homes to them. Through this ministry, both Nico and his mother received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. Since 1997, nearly 1,500 children have had their hearts repaired through this project.
