PHALLY STRUGGLED TO PROVIDE for her seven children. Two of her daughters had to quit school to go to work, and the family’s dreams of a better life were fading away. But things changed when Samaritan’s Purse started a chicken-raising project in their village. Phally received chicks, coop materials, feed, medicine, and an incubator. We also taught her how to sell the nutrient-rich eggs so that she has income for food, healthcare, and her children’s education. As we teach families how to care for their chicks, we also tell them that Jesus loves them and has an eternal plan for their lives.
