World Refugee Day: 20 June
World Refugee Day is an opportunity to remember the thousands of people around the world who have been displaced by natural disasters or crisis. The video above is one highlight from our partners who continue to serve Ukrainians seeking refuge across the border in Poland.
“A lot of people have a question, ‘Where is God?’ When we serve other people, they find God’s love, they find hope.” Radek said, who runs the Good Works Centre in Poland.
“In the centre, we have lots of activities. We opened a free shop for refugees with clothes, food and a children’s corner. We’ve prepared Polish language classes, where we use not only regular books, but also the Bible.”
“Most important, [we’re] not focused on [the] products, [we’re] focused on the spirit and focused on relationships. Relationships between people and with God. And because we helped them, now they serve others.”
Medical assistance, food, shelter and clean water are just some of the ways we have been able to share the hope we have in the Gospel around the world.
“Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God … I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).
This World Refugee Day, would you prayerfully consider making a donation and partner with Samaritan’s Purse in serving the urgent needs of those suffering in crisis?
Can provide all the essentials for a hygiene kit, restoring dignity to victims of crisis and showing them that the Lord has not forgotten them.
Will help meet the needs of vulnerable children after crisis, such as refugees or street children, reassuring them that God loves them.
Equips us to help displaced families settle in new countries while we also share the promise that God will be with them.
