Serving Earthquake Survivors in Colombia
When a 7.4-magnitude earthquake recently rocked Colombia, it shattered Jessica’s home.
“It was very, very scary,” she said. “Suddenly, we thought that the earth was going to open up, and it was going to swallow everything.”
Her roof caved in, the walls cracked, and the floor split open. She didn’t know what she was going to do. She was overwhelmed.
“I was depressed,” Jessica said. “I wanted to not be here anymore.”
But soon she heard about Samaritan’s Purse, and we were able to supply Jessica with much-needed emergency relief items, including a tarp to keep out the rain.
“Thank you very much for being here,” she said.
