Responding to Deadly Floods in Valencia, Spain
On October 29th, Valencia and the surrounding region received 12 inches of rain in a span of hours, causing widespread flooding. Over 200 people have died, whilst 20,000 victims are still without power—an unknown number are still missing.
Samaritan’s Purse swiftly began working with local partners to assess needs and mobilise volunteers. We praise God that partnerships built through Operation Christmas Child, prior to when disasters strike, enable us to respond quickly to crisis across the globe.
We have a team present on the ground, including personnel from the United Kingdom. Please keep them in your prayers as they serve the physical and spiritual needs of the hurting in Valencia.
If you feel moved to support our Spain response, and future international crisis responses, you can give a shelter kit or hygiene kit to people in crisis through our 2024 Gift Catalogue. Simply select Gift #10 or #11.
